HOW I GOT STARTED

When my beautiful wife of 52 1/2 years passed away in August 2015, I was devastated, and stressed for many months.  A very good friend sent me a sketch pad and suggested I write or doodle, to just let go.  One day, sitting in my living room and looking at my wife's picture, I picked up the sketch pad, a ball point pen, and sketched a picture of her.  It was a reasonable resemblence, but not great.  

I started again with a pencil and eraser.  That was July 2016, and I'm still at it.  I am self-taught, and only use a pencil and eraser for my work.  Some drawings are good, and some not so much, but I enjoy them all.  I hope you enjoy them too.
